Airfix Plastic Kits waren zwischen 1957 und 1965 mit Bausätzen, teilweise ehemaligen Kitmaster Modellen am Markt.
Von 1976 bis 1981 wurden dann Fertigmodelle als Airfix Railway System (ab 1979/80 GMR - Great Model Railways) angeboten. Die Herstellung erfolgte in Hongkong.
1980 ging Airfix in Konkurs und wurde an den Rivalen Mainline verkauft. Die Modelle gingen später an Dapol.
